The exhibition consists of four young Tehrani artists: Amirali Ghasemi, Sohrab Mohebbi, Nazgol Ansarinia & Iman Raad. Working in various media, interestingly enough they all come from design backgrounds. This background is evident in their skills in using the qualities of each medium to their advantage and their easy move between the media.
Amirali Ghasemi, a Tehran based artist and designer uses his day to day experiences as his source of inspiration. Sohrab Mohebbi is songwriter/musician of 127 band a tehran base rock band, he is a photographer as well. Nazgol Ansarinia who has recently returned to Iran after some time explores the notions of memory and space and their relationship. Iman Raad also a Tehran based artist and designer works with vernacular and familiar visuals and objects and turns them into contemporary ways expression.
The work produced by these artists is the evidence of the consciousness of ones social existence in a country like Iran where all relationships are complex and multilayered.
